RCD Espanyol visit RCDE Academy in Shanghai
The overseas academy welcomes club CEO, Mao Ye
In a further demonstration of the club's international growth, RCD Espanyol de Barcelona CEO and Vice President Mao Ye visited the RCDE Academy in Shanghai this week.
This academy, now in its sixth year, is the largest in the club's overseas project, and currently boasts over 500 active players. Mao Ye's visit, the first by a club CEO to this location, reinforced the close relationship between RCD Espanyol and the Chinese market, where the brand has achieved a strong presence.
During his tour of the facilities, Mao Ye talked about the key role of this academy: “Shanghai not only represents our largest international project, but also symbolises the potential of global youth football development. Here, players train with the RCDE methodology and passion, and both players and coaches develop, replicating our successful model in Barcelona.”
The project remains an example of stability and excellence, also serving as a platform for coaching training and the development of youth talent under RCDE standards.
