Jinan academy hosts institutional visit
The Chinese academy is part of RCD Espanyol's international expansion
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona Vice President and CEO Mao Ye visited the RCDE Academy in Jinan during the festive period, reaffirming the club's commitment to international expansion and the development of young talent. The visit served to strengthen ties between the Chinese city and Barcelona, fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences that the club's international academies represent.
The RCDE Jinan Academy, inaugurated in the summer of 2025, is one of the club's newest projects in Asia. Run by an RCD Espanyol coach and supported by the RCDE methodology, the intention is for it to become a benchmark for youth football development in the region.
During his visit, Mao Ye spoke of the enthusiasm and commitment of the entire local staff, as well as the potential of the young players.
“Jinan perfectly embodies our vision for international development. Soon, some of these players will have the opportunity to travel to Barcelona and experience the first team and the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque firsthand,” he commented.
