The La21 product will use the club's most legendary shirt number
The number 21 holds extraordinary emotional significance for Espanyol. It has become a symbol of the club’s identity and keeps alive the legacy of the late, great captain, Dani Jarque.
In accordance with the protocol established by the club and with a firm commitment to preserving and highlighting the historical significance, the Number 21 shirt will be assigned to Roger Hinojo this season.
The young defender came up through the La21 system, before achieving his dream of becoming part of the first team.
Hinojo begins this new stage of his career wearing a number that represents the values that have defined the academy: Hard work, humility, commitment and, above all, a sense of belonging.
