Francisco Perelló, 75 years of loyalty
The Espanyol member took pride of place in the Directors' Box at the RCDE Stadium against Atlético de Madrid on a day filled with blue-and-white passion
Last Saturday's match between Espanyol and Atlético de Madrid was a particularly emotional occasion for Francisco Perelló, an RCD Espanyol de Barcelona member who is celebrating 75 years of uninterrupted loyalty to the Club this year. To mark this special milestone, Perelló was given the honour of presiding over the Directors' Box at the RCDE Stadium, an invitation personally extended to him by president Alan Pace during the official ceremony in which he received a gold pin and a commemorative diploma in recognition of his three-quarters of a century of dedication to the Club. A tribute to a lifetime of commitment, affection and loyalty to the blue-and-white colours.
Francisco Perelló Molné enjoyed this special occasion alongside his family and grandchildren, who have inherited a passion for Espanyol passed down from generation to generation. The Perelló family's history is deeply intertwined with that of RCD Espanyol: his father, Francisco Perelló Picchi, served as Club president; his grandfather, Francisco Perelló Miñana, was the Club's treasurer; and his brother, José Luis Perelló, is currently vice-president of the Foundation and also served as Espanyol's vice-president during Daniel Sánchez Llibre's presidency. A true blue-and-white family legacy that forms part of the Club's history.
With this tribute, RCD Espanyol de Barcelona has sought to recognise 75 years of unwavering loyalty. A story of belonging, commitment and passion that embodies the essence of what it means to be an Espanyol supporter.
