Roberto: "I expect a physical contest"
The striker expects a demanding Matchday 1 fixture
Roberto Fernández is making no secret of his eagerness for LaLiga to get started, in the run-up to Sunday's meeting with Levante UD.
“We're really looking forward to getting started, seeing our fans, and giving them our first three points,” he said this Thursday after training.
"Now that preseason is over, we’re ready, eager, optimistic, and looking forward to getting started and everything going well. I expect a physical contest on Matchday 1, and also a Levante side that will want to start strong. However, we with our fans behind us, are going to try to get a first victory.”
The striker is happy with the support the team receive from the fans, and expects it to continue in this campaign.
“It’s incredible. Hats off to them. We in the dressing room appreciate what they do every year and that they fill the stadium every game, so we’re going to give it our all for them.”
