RCDE Stadium continues to be international benchmark
The stadium hosts its latest top level event
The RCDE Stadium hosted one of the biggest women's football matches available on Tuesday. The stadium was the venue for the international match between Spain and England, a replay of the last World Cup final and in a decisive fixture for qualification for the Nations League finals. It ended with a victory for the Spanish team.
The ground has proven to be a benchmark in the organisation of sporting events.
Modern, functional and comfortable facilities are complemented by the professionalism of a team always prepared to ensure the smooth running of highly demanding events.
Spain vs. England joins a long list of international events that have taken place at the RCDE Stadium: Spain vs. Albania, Brazil vs. Guinea, Morocco vs. Chile, Peru vs. New Zealand, Catalonia vs. Nigeria, and Mexico vs. Chile, among others, have all taken place in Cornellà.
Opened in 2009, the stadium has a capacity of nearly 40,000 spectators and has been recognised for its architectural design, sustainability, and energy efficiency. Its excellent visibility, the proximity of the stands to the pitch, and the quality of the facilities make it an ideal location for both players and fans.
Fifteen years after its opening, the RCDE Stadium remains a benchmark within LaLiga and one of the most highly regarded sports facilities nationally and internationally. In addition to hosting international friendlies and major events, it was recently proposed as one of the venues for the 2030 World Cup, jointly organised by the federations of Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
