RCD Espanyol Under-19s open season with a win
The team triumph 3-6 against Monzón
The league debut for RCD Espanyol Under-19s was a high scoring game, as Marc Xalabarder's men won 3-6 away to Monzón.
It wasn't a good start, as the team went behind 2-0: one goal from a direct free kick and another from open play.
Los Pericos managed to equalise thanks to a brace from Aarón Soriano, who found the net in the 24th and 33rd minutes. The team were attacking freely and creating numerous dangerous opportunities, and before halftime, Roger Martí and Escri completed the turnaround.
Around the hour mark, Monzón reduced the deficit by capitalising on a defensive lapse. But Espanyol regained control of the game and finished strong: Aarón Soriano rounded off his hat trick in the 78th minute, and Samu Puyo, starting and captaining the team after a long injury layoff, scored the final goal, making it 3-6.
