RCD Espanyol B draw with Reus FC Reddis
The spoils are shared on the road
Espanyol B visited a muddy Estadi Municipal in Reus on a rainy afternoon, where they shared the points in a 1-1 draw with Reus FC Reddis
The first half was intense, featuring plenty of duels and contested balls; within the first fifteen minutes, Ferran, Bargalló, and Timera had already been shown yellow cards.
RCD Espanyol B took the initiative, and a clever move by Eloi Tost to break away from the centre backs allowed him to set up Alejandro Santiago, who slotted past the opposing goalkeeper with a well-controlled touch to make it 0–1.
The referee’s strict officiating continued, and Agus who received a second yellow card, leaving Reus FC Reddis a man down.
The second half followed the same pattern, with Espanyol on the front foot and pushing forward. Eloi and Jan Peries both had chances to score, but their shots went over the bar.
The hosts looked to create danger from set-pieces, and off a corner, Pol equalised with a header in the 72nd minute.
Almost immediately afterward, Martí Farell was shown a second yellow card, leaving both teams down to ten men.
Sergio García’s side kept pushing, forcing Reus FC Reddis to drop deep. However, the scoreline remained unchanged
