RCD Espanyol have finalised the signing of Miguel Rubio on a free transfer

The new arrival, who plays as a centre back, has signed a three-year deal with the club after leaving Granada CF this summer

Rubio excelled in Getafe CF's youth system, and made his Primera División debut for them under José Bordalás. After several loan spells at Fuenlabrada, Valladolid Promesas and Burgos, he signed for Granada CF, where he was a regular in the starting XI and a cornerstone of the team.

A defender with an extensive track record in professional football, the 27 year old is a player expected to provide immediate performance, and who is familiar with the Spanish top flight.
