RCD Espanyol B suffer first defeat

The team lose 2-1 away to Peña Sport

Espanyol B visited the Estadio San Francisco to face Peña Sport on Matchday 3 of the season, and were unable to bring home points from the away trip. They suffered a 2-1 loss in a close contest.

The home side took the lead following a corner kick. However, Espanyol B responded quickly; after a fine piece of play, Pol Rivera scored the equaliser just three minutes later, right before halftime.

In the second half, both teams battled for control while pushing for the win. The hosts were desperate to secure their first victory, whereas Espanyol aimed to extend their good run and keep picking up points.

Ultimately, just as the match seemed destined for a draw, the Peña Sport scored to make it 2–1 in the 94th minute. It was a cruel outcome for a match in which Espanyol B competed well.
