Espanyol B lose 1-2 to Torrent CF

Espanyol B suffered their first defeat of 2026 in their game against bottom-of-the-table Torrent CF, losing 1-2 at the CE Dani Jarque.

The first clear chance fell to the visitors, but Llorenç thwarted it with a superb low save.

Espanyol responded well, trying to take control of possession. Just past the half-hour mark, Catalá headed home a free kick, but the goal was disallowed for a dubious offside decision. 

In the second half, Espanyol tried to inject more pace into proceedings, but failed to click. And in four frantic minutes, everything changed: Torrent stole the ball to take a 1-0 lead. Espanyol reacted well, scoring the equaliser just three minutes later. But just a minute thereafter, the visitors regained the advantage after a scramble in the box.

Espanyol tried to respond and came close to equalising through Caroutas, but two individual errors ultimately decided the match and ended the team's winning streak.
