Espanyol B tried to react and take control of possession, but the home team remained solid and efficient. In the 67th minute, they added a third goal, further complicating the task for Los Pericoa.
In the final stages of the game, Espanyol B kept pressing, and found their reward in the 90th minute when Lluc Castell scored a fantastic goal from outside the box. His curling consolation goal went into the top corner to make it 3-1.
