CONMEBOL teams visit RCD Espanyol for unique training experience
The teams come to Barcelona to take part in training and development
During the month of December, the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque was the venue for a top-level international experience, with the visit of several teams from CONMEBOL countries. These clubs chose Barcelona and RCD Espanyol's development model as the basis for a trip that combined training, competition, and high-performance development.
Within the RCDE Clinics program, the participating teams carried out training sessions led by coaches from the club, working in the same facilities where the future talents of the RCD Espanyol first team are developed. This experience goes beyond sporting performance and reinforces the emotional value of training in an elite environment.
Participating Teams
Under-13 Boys: Club Cerro Porteño (Paraguay)
Under-13 Boys: C.A. Newell's Old Boys (Argentina)
U-14 Girls: São Paulo Futebol Clube (Brazil)
U-14 Girls: Club Atlético River Plate (Argentina)
U-16 Girls: Ferroviária SAF (Brazil)
U-16 Girls: Independiente del Valle (Ecuador)
Friendly Games Played
The RCDE Under-14 A boys (2012) drew 3-3 against Cerro Porteño's Under-13s team (Paraguay).
RCDE Femenino C team (2008-2009) drew 1-1 against Ferroviária's Under-16s team (Brazil).
The RCDE Under-18s A team (2010-2011) lost 6-1 against Independiente del Valle's Under-16s team (Ecuador).
These activities reinforce the international dimension of RCDE Clinics, a project open to both professional and amateur teams who wish to train in Barcelona under the methodological framework of a LALIGA club, combining training, values, and competitive experience.
