2-0 victory at home for RCD Espanyol Under-19s
The team beat CA Osasuna Under-19s
The RCD Espanyol Under-19s were victorious against CA Osasuna Under-19s in their league encounter, on the same day that the first team took the win at El Sadar.
There were no goals in the first half, though Espanyol took the initiative against an Osasuna side playing with a low defensive block. Aarón Soriano had the clearest chance, but the opposition goalkeeper denied him with an excellent save.
The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, but this time the goals arrived. The opener came right on the hour mark: Antón Uría headed home a well-delivered free-kick from Escri, rising powerfully to break the deadlock.
Espanyol didn't ease off, and eight minutes later, Makar scored the second, nodding in off a pinpoint delivery from Arnau Cases.
Espanyol maintained control in the closing stages, and Osasuna were reduced to ten men following the sending-off of their goalkeeper, who tripped Aarón Soriano. Escri converted the resulting free-kick with a low shot right inside the post, past an outfield player as a makeshift goalkeeper, as the visitors had already used all of their substitutions.
