The great celebration of inclusive football
The fourth edition of ‘Nostra Catalunya Sense Límits’ turns the RCDE Stadium into a stage of emotions, dreams and resilience
There are days when football goes far beyond the scoreboard. Today, the RCDE Stadium experienced one of those days. During the international break, the blue-and-white temple came alive to host the fourth edition of the inclusive football tournament ‘Nostra Catalunya Sense Límits’, promoted by RCD Espanyol together with the Federació Catalana d’Esports per a Persones amb Discapacitat Intel·lectual (ACELL).
On the pitch, divided into two fields, two round-robin groups were played by teams that shared much more than minutes on the field: smiles, effort and an endless passion for football. RCDE Special, Girona FC and Getafe CF on one side; and RCDE Special, Nàstic de Tarragona and Fundació Futbol Base Reus on the other, were the protagonists of a memorable day. The match results were as follows:

Espanyol 1-1 Getafe
Getafe 1-1 Girona
Espanyol 0-1 Girona
Field 2:
Espanyol 3-0 FFB Reus
Nàstic de Tarragona 0-1 FFB Reus
Espanyol 1-1 Gimnàstic
But today, results mattered the least. The real victories were found in every hug, every celebration and every hopeful glance. The players made their dream of stepping onto a First Division stadium come true, accompanied by family members, fans and institutional representatives who turned the stands into a space of warmth, pride and togetherness.

In 1975, RCD Espanyol launched the ‘Nostra Catalunya’ cup with the aim of bringing teams and fans together. Today, almost fifty years later, that spirit beats stronger than ever: a kind of football that includes, that inspires and that reminds us why this sport is much more than just a game.
