Rubén Sanchez has insisted that the team are looking to bounce back against Osasuna on Saturday.
RCD Espanyol return in front of their fans at the RCDE Stadium this weekend, having fallen to defeat on the road to Almería. Speaking ahead of the LaLiga clash, the defender made it clear that the squad continues to work hard to face a tough opponent.
Rubén said, “We are preparing physically and mentally. Osasuna are Copa del Rey semi-finalists, and they will come here with a lot of confidence. We have to keep doing our job, competing and fighting to get the three points for the fans. We have to be able to draw on our strengths, correct mistakes and go for the win”.
Espanyol had been on a good run of form before the final match of the first half of the season, and will look to continue their solid results on home soil in front of the blanquiazul fans.
Rubén continued, “We didn't play well last time out and it's time to correct the mistakes. We have to keep going and working hard because a difficult match awaits us against Osasuna”.
Having returned from injury at the start of the season, the academy graduate concluded by reflecting on his recovery. He said, “Bit by bit, I have been feeling better and playing more minutes. I want to continue contributing to the team. I am learning a lot and I hope to continue this way”.
