RCDE Stadium strengthens its international positioning as host venue of the Sports World Congress 2026
The RCDE Stadium hosted the Sports World Congress (SWC) 2026, strengthening its position as an international benchmark in stadium innovation, management and activation, and placing itself at the center of the global debate on the future of sports venues.
Throughout the congress, the RCDE Stadium welcomed more than 200 professionals and representatives from over 50 international stadiums and arenas, including club executives, stadium operators, architects, engineering firms, public administrations and technology companies. The stadium not only served as the venue for the event, but also as a real-life case study and example of a next-generation stadium, thanks to its management model, functional design and 365-day operational capacity.

During the Sports World Congress, the RCDE Stadium was presented as a reference model in key areas shaping the future of stadiums: sustainability, operational efficiency, digitalisation, advanced data use and enhanced user experience. The sessions highlighted how the stadium responds to the new challenges facing the sector, both from an operational and a business model perspective.
The congress programme featured keynotes and case studies from international stadiums and arenas, as well as exclusive tours of the RCDE Stadium, allowing attendees to experience first-hand the integration of technology, services, hospitality and fan experience in a flexible environment designed to host sporting, corporate and entertainment events.
