RCDE Stadium, once again the stage for a major international fixture between national teams
After four years, the Spanish National Team returns to Barcelona to play a friendly against Egypt
Next Tuesday, March 31, at 08:00pm, the RCDE Stadium will host the international friendly between Spain and Egypt. The match will bring a top-level international fixture back to Barcelona and once again position the club’s stadium as a benchmark venue for national team football.
The decision by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to select the RCDE Stadium reinforces the venue’s positioning as one of Barcelona’s leading sports infrastructures and as a stadium fully prepared to host top-tier events and competitions. Its modern design, functionality, versatility and operational capacity consolidate its status as a reference venue, ready to meet the demands of elite sport and major international events.
With this match, the RCDE Stadium once again showcases its ability to host high-impact fixtures and confirms its role as an established venue within the calendar of major sporting events. Beyond the pitch, the stadium stands out for offering a comprehensive experience, first-class facilities and an optimal environment for hosting large-scale events.
The RCDE Stadium has already hosted international men’s national team matches such as Spain vs Albania, Brazil vs Guinea, Morocco vs Chile, Peru vs New Zealand, Catalonia vs Nigeria, Mexico vs Chile and Andorra vs England, as well as the women’s international match between Spain and England — a track record that underlines its prestige and projection as a regular venue for international football.
Spain will therefore return to the RCDE Stadium four years later to face Egypt in a match that will once again turn the stadium into a meeting point for international football in Barcelona and a showcase for a venue prepared to host major sporting occasions.
