RCDE Special will bring the season to a close this weekend by taking part in the final phase of LaLiga Genuine, which will be held in Las Rozas. The team travels to Madrid determined to win their remaining three matches and keep alive their hopes of lifting another league title.
The standings could hardly be tighter heading into this decisive stage. The Pericos currently sit third with 19 points, level with second-placed Getafe and just two points behind leaders Celta on 21. With everything still to play for, this final phase will decide the championship.
Managed by Manel Algeciras and Xavi Tendero, RCDE Special will play all three matches at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. Their first fixture will be against Deportivo Alavés on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a clash with Real Oviedo at 6:30 p.m. The season will conclude on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. with a match against Girona FC.
The squad selected for this final challenge is: Edu Muñoz, Sergio Villalón, Faustino Chumillas, José Antonio Torres, Germán Martín, Xavi Narbona, David Jiménez, Borja Cabezas, Borja Valle, Hugo Díaz, Nico de Lira, Víctor Moreno, David Durán, Jorge Sánchez, Carlos Pérez and Emilio González.
The team heads into this final weekend motivated by the opportunity to defend their title and eager to compete together once again. Beyond the results, however, Las Rozas will once again provide a unique experience built around the core values of LaLiga Genuine: friendship, inclusion, sportsmanship and shared emotions. Good luck, team!
