The club will mark the day with several actions on Friday and Saturday
To mark World Cancer Day, which is celebrated on February 4th, RCD Espanyol and Deportivo Alavés will jointly carry out a series of awareness-raising activities this Friday, coinciding with their match at the RCDE Stadium.
As part of an initiative promoted by LaLiga and the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC), both clubs will show their support for the increasing of awareness of the fight against cancer.
Before the start of the match, a group photo with the respective club captains will be taken, alongside the slogan "The symbol that humanises." In addition, all players will wear a green armband during the match as a symbol of support, hope, and the commitment of the football world in the fight against the disease.
Furthermore, the AECC will be represented in the VIP box at the RCDE Stadium, and a photo will be taken with institutional representatives from RCD Espanyol and Deportivo Alavés, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of both clubs in this charitable initiative.
