RCD Espanyol shares its model with Costa Rican football representatives
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona welcomed this week a delegation of Costa Rican football representatives to the RCDE Stadium in a visit organised in collaboration with LALIGA.
The session allowed attendees to gain first-hand insight into the Club’s working model in two key strategic areas: youth academy management and methodology, through La21, and the business and infrastructure management model of RCD Espanyol.
The visit began with a presentation by Albert Saus, Head of Football Programmes, focused on the structure and methodology of La21, one of the Club’s key pillars in player development. This was followed by Manu Carrasco, Head of Non Matchday, who provided an in-depth overview of the RCDE Stadium as a strategic asset, highlighting its business model, versatility and ability to generate activity beyond football.
The session was also attended by Rafa Marañon, board member of RCD Espanyol, who accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.
Representing Costa Rica were Jose Maroto, President of Sporting FC; Jafet Soto, President of CS Herediano; and Roberto Artavia, President of Deportivo Saprissa. The visit aimed to share knowledge, understand the Club’s model and explore potential future collaboration opportunities.
This initiative reinforces RCD Espanyol’s commitment to international projection, fostering connections with other football organisations and strengthening its positioning in key areas such as youth development and infrastructure management.
RCD Espanyol continues to open its doors to the world to share knowledge, create opportunities and grow through collaboration.
