RCD Espanyol participate in LaLiga anti-racism campaign
The club take part in 'VS RACISM'
On the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, celebrated on March 21st, RCD Espanyol and Getafe CF displayed a gesture of unity and commitment to the cause during their match at the RCDE Stadium.
Players from both teams took to the pitch wearing special anti-racism T-shirts and posed together with the message "VS RACISM," reinforcing their support for LaLiga's campaign against all forms of discrimination. Furthermore, the captain's armbands for both teams featured a commemorative design for this day.
The VS RACISM initiative, promoted by LaLiga, celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, establishing itself as one of the competition's key actions to promote equality, inclusion, and respect both on and off the pitch.
The campaign combines awareness, prevention, and denunciation, using the power of football as a driver of social change and reaffirming the commitment of LaLiga and its clubs to eradicate all racist acts in sport and society.
RCD Espanyol wish to express condemnation of any action that violates the dignity of individuals, regardless of their origin, skin colour, or personal beliefs.
