Our colours: A story we continue to write together
VOTA REBEL concludes a selection process shared with the fans, bringing the club colours to the heart of Barcelona. The chosen kit will be unveiled in July 2027
Some kits transport us back to a specific game, a particular person, or a distinct chapter in our lives. In them, we recognise our own history -as well as the history of those who taught us to cherish these colours. Choosing a shirt is also a way of deciding how we wish to continue telling the story of who we are.
Through the VOTA REBEL campaign, RCD Espanyol de Barcelona invited fans to take part in this selection process. Marking the club’s 126th anniversary, the campaign presented three distinct proposals -each offering a unique interpretation of our shared identity. These included honouring the legacy of our women’s team, revisiting iconic kits from our past, and exploring fresh expressions of the Espanyol spirit of defiance.
The campaign also brought our colours to the streets of Barcelona, appearing on buses, metro screens, railway stations, and various public displays. These are spaces that form part of the everyday lives of our fans. At the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque, the club’s mascots also supported the initiative during a match featuring the women’s first team, bringing the voting process directly to supporters.
This is the essence of Rebels d’Arrel: acknowledging our roots and ensuring they endure, expressed in our own unique voice. It is an identity that lives on in our shirts, in the stands, and within those who pass their upassion down from one generation to the next.
The VOTA REBEL campaign has also been felt across the streets and public spaces of Barcelona. The voting has concluded. The home kit for the 2027/28 season, chosen by the fans, will be unveiled in July 2027.
