International Women's Day celebrated at the RCDE Stadium

Before the match between RCD Espanyol and Real Oviedo at the RCDE Stadium, the club celebrated International Women's Day with various activities that highlighted female talent and participation -both on and off the pitch.

One of the stars of the evening was Alexandra Campoy, a participant in the competition organised by the club to become the team's stadium announcer for the night. She had the unique opportunity to contribute to the atmosphere and energy of the RCDE Stadium.

Another participant in the same competition was Claudia Barrientos, who provided one of the most moving moments of the pre-match festivities. She performed a guitar solo while the RCD Espanyol anthem played.

The day also featured a significant female presence in the VIP box. Among those in attendance was the Catalan Interior Minister, Núria Parlon.

As part of the events organised by the club for March 8th, recognition was also given to all the women who entered the announcer competition. A draw was held, with eleven participants going down onto the pitch before the start of the match and having their photograph taken with the first team.
