Luis García expressed his disappointment with the final result of RCD Espanyol's away game in Tenerife, speaking in his post-match press conference.
The coach acknowledged that “we had a great first half, with all kinds of chances. The game went against us, but the team did many things well and deserved to get at least a draw. In the first half we were by far the better side, although it evened out a little in the second half.”
“They generated few scoring opportunities," he continued. "We were good defensively and we just lacked effectiveness on some moves. I think that offensively the team created many scoring chances and we have to continue growing. We have to continue working on both defensive and offensive improvement.”
Garcia also took the opportunity to encourage Pacheco after his mistake that led to the only goal of the game.
“He saved two penalties away to Albacete and has put in good performances. He made a bad decision and that's it. He is a goalkeeper who helps us a lot."
