Espanyol's away kit has been unveiled
Revamp of the away shirt design used between 1986 and 1993
RCD Espanyol will use a revamped version of one of the most unique, iconic, and recognisable kits in the club’s history for the 2026/27 away strip.
With its unmistakable red base colour and horizontal blue and white stripes across the sleeves, this shirt represents an entire era, a connection to the club, and an identity that remains fully relevant in the present day.
This new edition of the shirt maintains the aesthetic essence of the original design and incorporates contemporary details and finishes that elevate the piece -both as a product and as a collector's item.
For this collection, an exclusive texture has been developed and integrated into the fabric, inspired by the geometric patterns found in the plumage of the parakeet associated with the club. It is a graphic interpretation of the different visual structures that appear in the various parts of the bird -the head, torso, and wings- transferred to the fabric using a visually rich weave. The result reveals its full personality when viewed up close.
The shirt is made from recyclable material, reaffirming the club's commitment to sustainability and the development of increasingly environmentally responsible products.
Furthermore, the upper back features the distinctive REBELS D'ARREL logo, the new expression of RCD Espanyol's identity. This emblem represents the club's character: True to our roots, nonconformist by nature, and proud of a spirit that has remained unchanged throughout its history.
This kit was designed in collaboration with the fashion brand Gambea, renowned for its commitment to creativity, contemporary design, and quality. This partnership reinforces RCD Espanyol's dedication to developing products that transcend the sporting arena, merging identity, innovation, and fashion to offer garments with a distinctive character, both on and off the pitch.
