Espanyol and the Catalan Tourism Agency promote Catalonia internationally
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and the Catalan Tourism Agency (ACT) continue to strengthen their collaboration through a new international promotional initiative taking place in connection with the pre-season friendly that the first team will play against Burnley FC on 29 July at Turf Moor.
The initiative, organised jointly with the ACT’s UK office, will bring together a group of British travel agents for an institutional and sporting experience designed to showcase Catalonia and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona as leading references in tourism, culture and sport.
Attendees will enjoy a programme combining a visit to Burnley FC’s facilities, networking and hospitality opportunities, as well as attendance at the friendly match between Burnley FC and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. The initiative will provide tourism professionals with first-hand insight into Catalonia’s offering and create new promotional opportunities in a strategic market such as the United Kingdom.
This initiative forms part of the shared commitment of RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and the ACT to strengthen Catalonia’s international profile through sport. It also consolidates a new line of collaboration launched this summer, with the aim of developing further joint initiatives in priority markets.
Through this project, RCD Espanyol de Barcelona reaffirms its role as an ambassador for Catalonia beyond the pitch, contributing to the international promotion of the region and creating synergies between sport, tourism and economic activity.
