Álvaro González explains return home
The latest episode of ‘Quan la pilota calla’ is out now
Álvaro González is one of RCD Espanyol's most well-travelled sons, and in less than two decades has lived in Potes, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Villarreal, Marseille, Riyadh, Malaysia, and Tenerife. Now he has returned to Barcelona to begin a new life after retirement.
"Espanyol made me very happy. Both my father-in-law and my partner are lifelong Espanyol fans, as well as Marco, my newborn son. That way, we don't argue at home," he says with a smile.
He played alongside teammates like Sergio García and Ronaldo, and often faced the best players in the world when up against the likes of Messi and Neymar in LaLiga and the French league.
Álvaro González remembers his career, his memories, his feelings, and his official retirement a few months ago, in this new episode of the podcast ‘Quan la pilota calla’. It can first be heard on Espanyol Media's OTT platform after registration, and 24 hours later, it will be available on all official RCD Espanyol platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts).
The fourth episode of the series, featuring Álvaro González, is now available.
