‘Today’s Guest’ Toni Jiménez

One of the new corporate initiatives introduced by RCD Espanyol de Barcelona this season is the ‘Today’s Guest’ series, an initiative aimed at bringing the President Club to life by welcoming Club legends and other notable personalities to the Hospitality area at the RCDE Stadium.

Ahead of the second LALIGA matchday against Real Madrid CF, the special guest was Toni Jiménez, who made 275 official appearances in goal during his nine seasons as a Perico. He won two Zamora Trophies, in the First and Second Divisions respectively, and was also a senior Spain international.

The goalkeeper, currently part of Mauricio Pochettino’s coaching staff, shared his experiences as an Espanyol player, looking back on some of his best moments and anecdotes from his time at the Club. He also spoke about his current role as a goalkeeping coach.
