Release your seat to the club

This year, the Club introduces a new service with the aim of filling the RCDE Stadium for every match.

    Until now, there was the option to transfer a seat by converting a season ticket into a match ticket and sending it to another Espanyol fan. This season, we also offer the option to release your seat to the club*, which allows you to receive a financial return.

    Below is important information on how this works:

    • Make your seat available to the club by accessing your Member Area ('Release your seat' section).
    • Once your seat is released, your season ticket will be invalidated for entry to the RCDE Stadium.
    • Up to 2 hours before the match, you can reclaim your seat if it hasn't been sold. If you don't do this, your season ticket will be invalidated for entry and will remain available for purchase until kickoff.

    Calculating the "Release Your Seat" Amount

    When a ticket from the "Release Your Seat" programme is sold, the season ticket holder will receive 40% of the reference price used for the sale of that seat, according to the following criteria:

    • If the ticket is sold at the price established in the ticketing price list, the season ticket holder will receive 40% of that amount.
    • If the ticket is sold with a promotion or discount, the season ticket holder will receive 40% of the final price paid by the buyer.
    • In cases where, due to dynamic pricing or other marketing strategies, the ticket is sold for a price higher than that established in the ticketing price list, the calculation of the deduction for the season ticket holder will be based on the official price for that match and seat.

    Therefore, the amount generated by "Release Your Seat" is always calculated based on the reference price applicable to the sale of the ticket, respecting the conditions and promotions in effect at any given time.

    • In your Member Area, under the "Release your seat" section, is the option to view the "Accumulated Balance." This balance will be displayed within one week of the match's conclusion.
    • The accumulated amount can be redeemed when renewing your season ticket for the following season, up to a maximum of 50% of the 2026/27 season ticket price. No other discounts can be applied to this.
    • Releasing your seat will not count as attendance at a game.
