The captain Víctor Álvarez said that the team has to start winning matches
The first team has gone back to work this Tuesday after the defeat against Valencia thinking already in the next match against Deportivo de la Coruña. One of the captains, Víctor Álvarez, said that RCD Espanyol depends on themselves and he added that the team has to start winning matches.
“This Saturday we are playing an important match as it was against Valencia. We had opportunities to win but we didn’t score. The match against Deportivo is one of the first finals we have left and we have to change and start winning”, he said.
“Against Valencia we saw a different team. We had chances to win and it was a match that we could have won”, he said.
Víctor Álvarez also said that “we are responsible for the situation because we are the ones that are on the field. We want our fans to keep giving us support; we need them. Together will be able to get out of this situation. We depend on ourselves and we have to continue this way”.
