The ladies teams Juvenil B and Infantil A have proclaimed themselves champions of the league
Two teams of the Espanyol ladies youth academy proclaimed themselves league champions last Sunday.
Infantil A, which competes in the men’s league, also managed to move up to ‘Primera División Infantil’ (Children’s First Division). In the last match of the season, they beat Sant Andreu 4-0 who took second place in the league, and came to the match with a chance of winning the league title if they were able to beat the white and blues.
As for the girls in Juvenil B, they proclaimed themselves champions with two matches remaining by just managing to beat Women’s Soccer School, who took second place in the league. The team has won 13 league matches played up to now.
The club’s commitment to the ladies youth academy is apparent every day, and the league titles achieved are a recognition of a job well done during this unusual season.
Managers of Juvenil B and Infantil A, Àlex Gassó and Sergio Fernández, respectively, coincided in congratulating and giving the whole merit of the title achieved to the players. They are the stars of this training process. Congratulations parakeets!
