Evan Dimas watches his first Espanyol match
The player has already started training with his Espanyol B teammates
Evan Dimas attended his first LaLiga match this evening, when he watched RCD Espanyol v Real Sociedad at the RCDE Stadium. The player arrived in the company of Indonesia’s Ambassador to Spain, Her Excellency Yuli Mumpuni Widarso, and members of the consulate in Barcelona. An hour before the match, the player was welcomed along with the Indonesian Ambassador by the club’s board of directors in the VIP Area of the RCDE Stadium.
Dimas, who is considered one of Indonesia’s best players, has already started training with his Espanyol B teammates and is familiarising himself with the working methods of the Barcelona based club. Evan Dimas is the first player to be selected as part of LaLiga Global, a series of projects that includes supporting footballers from different countries, and launched with the aim of granting opportunities to outstanding players from other regions so that they can develop their abilities in the best possible environment.
With this project, LaLiga is seeking to support the development of young talents in different countries around the world, placing a special emphasis on fostering the progression of future promises from each country involved. E van Dimas is the first of many players who will form part of this initiative, through which they will visit top clubs in Spain to discover how they work and train.
