Urko: "We've been doing things right"
The midfielder targets a win against Atletico Madrid
Annoyed by victory slipping away in stoppage time against RC Celta last time out, the Espanyol squad nevertheless hope that the draw against the Galician side will prove to be a turning point of their season.
Urko González spoke about this on Tuesday in conversation with the media, and commented that “We did the hardest part, taking the lead. Conceding a late goal is frustrating, but we have to give value to this point -because every point we get is welcome.”
For the RCD Espanyol midfielder, getting back to winning ways depends “on being clinical in both penalty areas and winning the duels. Everything matters, and everything counts in the end.”
He insists he doesn't want to think about the team's two away matches in the next two matchdays, preferring instead to “take things one game at a time. Now we play Atletico Madrid. We'll go there looking for the three points.”
“In the second half of the season, all the teams want to get good results. It’s a very competitive season. We haven’t had as good a run as we’d like, but we’re still in sixth place with 35 points. We’re doing things right, even though the results haven’t been going our way in this recent stretch.”
