Terrats: "We want to build on the point we got against Celta"
The attacker speaks about his loan spell thus far
On loan at the club he has supported since childhood, Ramón Terrats believes he has found his place in a "young, human, and energetic team, where the group's confidence and energy is infectious."
"I try to enjoy everything that's happening to me every day, both the good and the bad," he said to the media on Wednesday, adding that "this is a good season in which we have to put the problems aside now. January didn't go as we wanted. We have this pressure within the dressing room, but we're calm because we're doing things very well."
He insists that he came to Espanyol "because it was a great opportunity for me, because of the excitement that comes with being at this club, and because it's my home. I couldn't pass up the chance, because I never knew if I'd ever get it again. I'm at Espanyol and I'm confident I can stay here for many years. Right now, that's how I see things, and I have to focus on being here. I've always tried to enjoy what I have and how fortunate I am. I have to keep fighting to play and show that I can help the team."
He acknowledged that he would play "wherever the coach fields me. The first half of the season was magnificent. We have to focus on the day-to-day work, because if we think about anything else, we'll make mistakes. Now we have Atletico Madrid up next, and we have to fight for the three points, which would give us the confidence to keep growing."
Regarding Saturday's opponents, he notes that "it won't be easy. It wasn't easy in the first meeting this season either. They're a team with top-level players, and if we control the game, we can hurt them. We want to build on the point we got against Celta and try to take all three points this weekend."
