Terrats: "The mentality has changed"
The attacker talks ahead of Friday's derby
The RCD Espanyol squad face the game against Girona with the hope of getting back to winning ways after their recent draw in Valencia, which left everyone unsatisfied.
“The mentality has changed,” Ramón Terrats summarised in an interview on Wednesday.
"We now want to take all three points in every match. Dropping points the other day affected us and left us with the feeling that only with this mentality can we climb as high up the table as possible.”
He affirmed that “we’re only thinking about the next match, and Girona is the one that is coming up next. We’re focused on that game and on fighting for the three points. We’re playing at home, and with our fans behind us, we can get the win again.”
He himself left Girona five years ago, and commented that “and I’ve already played against them several times. They’re a very high-quality team and Michel’s philosophy has been in place for many years. They’re a team with a lot of possession, they play very well, they find spaces, and they’re on a positive run. They’ll come into this game with a lot of confidence.”
"Nobody would have imagined that we'd have 34 points right now. It’s a great first half of the season that we've had, but I think we’re all aware of where we’ve come from and that we have to keep our feet on the ground. We have to take it one step at a time, one game at a time… And everything that comes next will be positive.”
