Salinas: "There's always room for improvement"
The midfielder looks at the game against Athletic Club
José Salinas chatted to the media on Friday, with the RCD Espanyol player analysing the team’s recent form in LaLiga.
“I don't know if we are in our best shape of the season because there's always room for improvement,” he explains.
“Upon arriving in Barcelona, I’ve had to adapt to a new city, a new team, new teammates, and a new coaching staff. I've worked hard every day, and I'm getting closer to my best form."
The team play Athletic Club on Monday night, and Salinas acknowledged the difficulty of the game.
"We are ambitious, and we're going to San Mamés to get the three points, just as we have done in every game since the beginning of the season. We are on a very good run after taking four consecutive victories. We are ambitious, and that comes across from within the team. We want to win this matchday to get our fifth victory on the bounce."
“It will be a very difficult game, of course, but we're in good form and eager to win. We have to focus on what we have to do, on executing our game plan as well as possible to win.”
“They will press hard and won't let us touch the ball. Physically they're on another level, and we have to be aware of that and carry out our strategy perfectly to win.”
