Roca: "I'm very happy here"
The player speaks ahead of the game against Villarreal CF
A season of learning for Antoniu Roca continues in the final stretch, with the player gradually featuring more prominently. He spoke to the media on Thursday, and acknowledged that "I've been gaining experience throughout the season. I've needed a phase for adaptation, and being in a good dynamic with the team has given me more minutes and more starts."
The team's good form hasn't gone unnoticed, but, keeping his feet on the ground, he emphasised that "I'm only thinking about this game against Villarreal and the goal of survival. We're almost safe, but we haven't achieved our objective yet, so it's time to focus on this game and on getting the three points."
Roca added that, on a personal level, "I'm very happy here and I hope the season ends even better. I'm grateful to Manolo González for everything I'm achieving. I hope this is just the beginning of what we can both achieve together."
He also pointed out that the competition he maintains with Jofre for minutes "is very healthy" and that he has not yet begun to talk about his future with the club, although he underlined that "I'm very happy here."
As for the rescheduled game with Villarreal on Sunday, he stated that "I wouldn't settle for a draw right now, although it seems inevitable that we keep one eye on the standings. Until we are mathematically safe, we will not have achieved our objective."
