Roberto: "We need to start afresh after this break"

The forward talks before the game against Real Betis

Ahead of RCD Espanyol's game against Real Betis, striker Roberto Fernández talked to the media about the return from the international break and his hopes for the coming fixtures.

"The international break has been good for us. We were eager to change our mindset. The Christmas break didn't do us any good, so let's hope this one is positive."

He insisted that "we're working like we always do. We have to correct some mistakes we've made, because we've played well in the last few games but the results haven't gone our way. We have to keep striving for the three points in every game we play."

"Goals give strikers confidence, but insists I hope those goals will help the team. We're lacking a bit of luck. We had some games in the first half of the season that didn't go so well for us, but that we still won. We have to keep working with positivity and provide the effort required. We need to start afresh after this break and try to get points in the remaining matches."
