Roberto Fernández signs for RCD Espanyol

The club have acquired 50% of the player's registration, on a six-year contract

RCD Espanyol and Sporting Clube de Braga have agreed the signing of forward Roberto Fernández. The deal sees RCD Espanyol acquire 50% of the player's registration, on a six-year contract.

Under this agreement, RCD Espanyol retain the option to acquire the remaining 50% in the future.

Fernández was one of the standout players in the second half of last season, having joined RCD Espanyol in the winter transfer window on loan. The Andalusian forward appeared in 19 matches, scoring six goals. His outstanding performance was rewarded with the team remaining in LaLiga, and a callup to the Spanish Under-21 team for the European Championship.
