Riedel: "A win will be like a flick of a switch"

The defender urges a change of dynamic

Clemens Riedel believes that RCD Espanyol's next victory will signal a change of dynamic for the team, and hopes that it will come this Monday against Real Oviedo.

The defender talked to the media in a press conference, explaining that “a win will be like a flick of a switch, like in the first half of the season when we were improving with every game."

“The team are doing well. We know the last few weeks haven't been good and we haven't won yet in 2026, but we're working hard and moving forward. We've noticed improvements in the last few matches and have created chances in attack. If we get better defensively and keep a clean sheet, we can win.”

He also highlighted the continued support of the fans.

“In the first half of the season, working together with our fans, we played very well. Together we've been very strong and effective.”
