The five Espanyol players called up for Catalonia had the opportunity to play minutes in the match against Costa Rica, which ended in a 2-0 victory.
Joan García and Edu Expósito started, with coach Gerard López making substitutions in the second half to bring on Antoniu Roca, Jofre, and Pol Lozano.
Former RCD Espanyol man Keita Balde assisted Antoniu Roca for the first goal, off a cross in the 72nd minute. From that moment on, Catalonia took complete control of the match and ended up sealing the victory with another goal from Carles Aleñà.
