RCD Espanyol expand international reach in Australia
The club strengthens the global development strategy through a new collaboration with John Paul College in Daisy Hill
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona continue to expand the club's international presence through Football Programmes, with a new cooperation agreement with John Paul College in Brisbane, one of Australia’s leading educational institutions.
This strategic partnership will bring the La21 (Espanyol training model) and Espanyol’s academy to Australia, with the aim of making a real impact on player and coach development.
The project includes direct, ongoing training for John Paul College coaches, sharing the RCDE methodology and implementing it progressively, adapted to local realities. This approach aims to empower coaches to design and apply their own training tasks, aligned with the club’s game model and development principles.
Through this collaboration, RCD Espanyol strengthen La21's position as a global benchmark in football development by sharing its knowledge and experience to support grassroots football worldwide.
This agreement strengthens the club’s position as a talent-development institution, staying true to its model and values, and expanding its global network of strategic partnerships. It also shows RCD Espanyol de Barcelona’s ability to adapt, educate and share its methodology, helping strategic partners like John Paul College achieve their goals in developing their football programme.
Furthermore, several RCD Espanyol coaches will travel to Australia to provide on-site support and reinforce the project's implementation.
