Ramón, Fernández and González receive official presentations
The trio are presented as the club's winter signings
Pablo Ramón, Roberto Fernández and Urko González de Zárate received their official presentations for RCD Espanyol on Tuesday afternoon, after the winter transfer window closed and completed the club's activity in the market.
Accompanied by Mao Ye, CEO of the club, and Fran Garagarza, sporting director, the three spoke of their satisfaction with this new stage of their careers.
Pablo Ramón continues to recover from injury, but both Roberto Fernández and Urko González have already debuted with the first team. They expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome they have received both in the dressing room and from the fans.
Fernández stated that "I came here and scored straight away, and my desire remains to score many more goals. I don't want to set a number for myself. What I want is to help in every way possible to achieve the objective."
“I feel like another member of the squad. They have welcomed me very well and I would like to be able to continue in the future at Espanyol, of course,” he reiterated.
For González, who was already approached by Espanyol last summer, “this opportunity was the best thing for me: To go out on loan. When they offered the chance to me I had no doubts about coming here. I hope I can repay the club for everything I have received here when I am on the pitch.”
The player owned by Real Sociedad knows that he will not be able to play this Sunday against his parent club.
“All the teams are very tough. We already saw that the other day against Real Madrid. Now we are playing against another great team once again, but we will prepare the match the way the coach proposes, with the idea that we will do well.”
Finally, Pablo Ramón revealed that he is “in the final stretch of the recovery process, with a good feelings."
"It's difficult for me to see the days go by without being able to contribute to the team, but soon I will be able to help out."
“I was pretty clear about signing for RCD Espanyol. It was a good option and, in addition, I feel very connected to this club because of my agent, Mágico Díaz, who also played here."
