Open letter from Manolo González
Dear Pericos,
I wanted to let a couple of days pass before writing these words. Now is not the time to go on at too great a length, but it is the right time to say thank you.
Many thanks to the club and to the people who placed their trust in me, allowing me to fulfill a dream. Thanks also to everyone at the club who always offered help and supported us.
Many thanks to the fans for your affection and support from day one, even during the most delicate and difficult moments. My only regret is that things could have ended differently, but I take with me everything we achieved and experienced together.
Thanks to all the players -from those who were at RCD Espanyol B when I first arrived, to those in the first team- for all their hard work and for the collective effort that helped us reach our goals.
I must also mention the physiotherapists, doctors, and nutritionists; the communications staff with Toni Borrell and Andrés Merello; the kitmen -both for the first team and the reserve team; the team delegates; the reserve team coaching staff from when I first arrived; and, of course, every member of my own coaching staff: Gerard Garrido, Dani Parra, David Martín, David Llobet, César del Pozo, Josep Pascual, and Iñigo Arteaga.
Ultimately, through both the mistakes and the successes, I will always be grateful for these years and for everything we shared with each other. I will always wish the best for RCD Espanyol.
It has been an honour!
