Official Statement

RCD Espanyol are continuing to refine the club’s technical structure, following the formation of a Sporting Committee several months ago. This committee addressed the activity in the winter transfer window and management of different decisions related to this area following the medical leave of Fran Garagarza, the club's sporting director.

To consolidate and strengthen the functioning of the committee, the club have now appointed Sergio Ortega as coordinator. In this role, he will be responsible for channeling and coordinating relations with agents, clubs, and players.

Sporting decisions will continue to be made jointly within the Sporting Committee, reinforcing the coordinated work within RCD Espanyol's structure.
