Moscardo: "Our preseason training will help us when the season starts"

Gabriel Moscardo is one of the new arrivals to the RCD Espanyol squad, and has been eager to integrate as quickly as possible. With just a handful of training sessions under his belt, he joins his teammates this week for a preseason camp in Navata.

Speaking on Thursday, he said he feels "very good" and can handle "the intensity" of the schedule.

"My teammates are helping me try to speak more Spanish, and these past few days we've been focused on fitness. Here, I see that they try to mix all of that with a lot of skill work. We still need to improve our fitness, but the ball, small matches, and shooting on goal are always present. I think that will help us when the season starts," he explained.

Moscardo added that "I'm eager to play, to participate in a game with my teammates and have that first experience. I think we'll do well. I'm also eager to experience the atmosphere created by the Espanyol fans. I'm sure I'll feel right at home."
