Milla: "We have to keep pushing"
The forward speaks about the team's mentality for upcoming games
Pere Milla spoke to the media on Wednesday, ahead of Espanyol’s Friday home game against Deportivo Alavés.
“We have to turn the page following the games against Valencia and Girona. We can’t live in the past. We’re already focused on the match against Alavés; they are a strong and very intense team, and it will be difficult," he explained.
Speaking about Chacho Coudet’s side, he added: “They have good players and make the game very uncomfortable for you; they all work as one. But we know LaLiga is very competitive, and we have to be strong at home. We are playing in front of our fans this Friday and we have to win”.
The attacker also underlined the collective work the squad are doing.
“We have to keep pushing and not give up. The team must continue working calmly, as we have been doing, and sooner or later the details will go our way again. Our mentality is strong, we’re showing that, and we have to do so again at home this week. We have to keep working hard and win on Friday”.
Finally, Milla highlighted Manolo González’s role and the good atmosphere in the dressing room.
“I’m grateful for the confidence he shows in me. I trust in myself and in my work to contribute and help Espanyol win matches”.
