Lozano: "We should have more points"
The midfielder speaks during the international break
Last weekend's defeat against Villarreal CF has sent RCD Espanyol into the international break off the back of consecutive losses, and the squad are eager to get back to action to try to put another three points on the board.
As they keep training at the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque, Pol Lozano spoke to the media, saying that "we haven't forgotten the last two defeats. We have another opportunity to get a win at home against Sevilla. We have to fight for the three points -which is what we want."
The midfielder pointed out that "we went into this break sixth in the LaLiga table, but we have fewer points than we deserve. We should have more, because there have been games in which we deserved more."
He also argued that, "after each defeat, you think that maybe you're not working well, but you have to put that out of your mind and see everything in a broader sense, rather than just focus on the result."
Finally, regarding the Copa del Rey draw, he said, “I played against Atlético Baleares for many years, both for the RCD Espanyol B team and with the Under-18s. I’m happy we’ve been drawn against a team like them, with a good pitch and in a good city. We’re going to enjoy it, for sure.”
