José Salinas joins RCD Espanyol

The club make their latest signing for 2025/26

RCD Espanyol have completed the signing of José Salinas. The full-back, a free agent since leaving Elche FC, joins on a three-year contract.

After joining Elche, Salinas was initially loaned to Unionistas de Salamanca (1ª RFEF), where he had a brilliant season. The defender continued his progression at CD Mirandés, with whom he made 41 league appearances. After his two successful loan spells, he became a regular for Elche's first team.

Salinas played in 39 league matches last season—with 38 starts—and scored two goals, becoming one of the team's standouts in their promotion to the Primera División.
